TRACON — HSV Huntsville

  • Do not turn any departure from the heading assigned by Local Control if that turn reduces lateral separation between the departure and the extended runway centerline.
  • All departures: climb to 10,000 ft and flash to ZME LO unless otherwise specified.
  • Transfer arrivals to Local Control no sooner than 15 NM and no later than 5 NM from the airport.
  • When Final Radar (FR) is not staffed: WR may conduct approaches/runway assignments to the west runway; ER may conduct approaches for the east runway — without coordination.
  • During single-runway operations: WR sequences to 18R/36L; ER sequences to 18L/36R.
  • ER and WR must ensure positive separation until aircraft are established on final.
