Departure Corridors
Section titled “Departure Corridors”The departure corridor extends 8 miles from the airport, up to and including 5,000 ft MSL. The corridor belongs to South Radar but may be used by LC without coordination for departure releases off the active runway.
Corridor headings: 240°, 255°, 270°
Corridor headings: 060°, 075°, 090°
(When only Rwy 20 is active)
Corridor headings: 170°, 190°, 210°
(When only Rwy 2 is active)
Corridor headings: 170°, 190°, 210°
Use approved heading for 8/26, or as coordinated.
LC Airspace Responsibilities
Section titled “LC Airspace Responsibilities”- FSM Class D airspace as depicted.
- TRSA service/separation is provided at FSM Regional Airport.
LC Surface Responsibilities
Section titled “LC Surface Responsibilities”- All active runways including safety areas.
- Taxiway E south of Runway 8/26.
- Movement areas of the airport when coordinated with GC.
General Responsibilities
Section titled “General Responsibilities”- Apply separation standards, operational procedures, and phraseology per current directives.
- Maintain continuous surveillance of traffic pattern areas and active runways.
- Provide separation between:
- Arriving/departing IFR/SVFR/VFR aircraft, and helicopters transiting to/from Fort Chaffee, Sparks Hospital, or St. Edwards Hospital.
- Initial separation between successive IFR/SVFR/VFR departures and missed approaches.
- Arriving/departing aircraft and over-flight aircraft on which a radar point-out has been accepted.
- If visual separation cannot be provided or aircraft cannot remain in Class D, coordinate with appropriate radar position.
