Ground Control — FSM ATCT

Operational Area

Ground Control has jurisdiction over all movement areas as depicted, including:

• All taxiways designated as movement areas, except Taxiway E south of Runway 8/26 (delegated to Local Control).
• Runways when control responsibility is designated to GC.

Responsibilities

1. Issue clearances and instructions for aircraft on movement areas or adjacent to active runways.
2. Maintain continuous surveillance of the movement area.
3. Issue taxi clearances (and progressive instructions when requested) for departing aircraft.

Runway Crossings

GC must verbally coordinate with LC, stating runway and intersection:

GND → LC: “Local, Ground — crossing runway [X] at [intersection].”

Advise LC of taxiing aircraft requesting an intersection departure.
