Surface Awareness Initiative Display (SAID)
Section titled “Surface Awareness Initiative Display (SAID)”BNA uses a SAID (not ASDE) for surface situational awareness. Key differences from MEM’s ASDE:
- Relies solely on ADS-B data — non-equipped aircraft will not display.
- Incorrect ADS-B callsigns will display improperly.
- CRC simulates the SAID with near-identical appearance to the ASDE (same contractor).
